Current mood: cranky

I'm wearing sandals!
I just called my computer a weiner. And not in a good way.

Actually, I've broken every computer I've touched today. *has the magic touch* On one, the hard drive is failing, and I don't know what I did to the other one.

I come bearing gifts:

One for Tim and Catherine:

And one for Mike and Kate:

All my friends are getting engaged or having babies. Whatevs, peeps. Don't you know just working and hanging out with friends is the new black? Nah, I kid. Congratulations to all of you! I was there once myself. The engaged part, not the making babies. Well, technically... Anyway, no babies were had in the baby-making process. There we go. :-)

I'm all out of sorts today and cranky. There should be a little thundercloud above my head.

Why can't the attorney I work for spell? This does not bother me about anyone else but him. And he doesn't even notice! "Emali" is not the same as "Email." At. all. *curls lip*

Tonight I have to go grocery shopping (Yay!Wegmans - I could live there, it's like a small country), and then both House and Gossip Girl have new episodes, AND Intervention will be on, and I just do not know how I am going handle all the tv-watching I need to do. It's a wonderful problem to have.

This weekend was good - on Saturday I slept until 11:30, got up and made lunch, then went back to sleep from 2 to nearly five (no idea what that was about), then got to go shopping for the baby shower on Sunday

*break for incoming fax*

Damn faxes. I think that is my least favorite part of doing mail. I had to walk down to the first floor to get the fax, then up to the third floor to deliver it, then back to the second floor to my office, where my computer is still being a weiner. *shakes fist*

Where was I. Oh right, shopping, so shopping went well, and then I ended up at a bar with Pat because we were waiting for the JjADz pad peeps to come home, and then I hung with them and we discussed burlesque dancing, and then I nearly broke my ankle trying to walk off the porch in the dark (there was appropriate flailing involved), and then I went home.

Sunday my hair dryer broke, right in the middle of drying my hair, which needed to look nice for Cara's baby shower.

*rolls eyes*

I have the worst luck sometimes. Anyway, so I had to go with straight, slightly wet hair, but the shower was lovely and SOOOO huge - they had it at the Warner and it was catered and everything and Cara got approximately 2.4 million gifts, of which 60% at least had monkeys on them. (She has a thing for monkeys.) I told Pat if I have a baby shower I want it in a church fellowship hall - nothing ostentatious, and I want everyone to bring me lambs. He said the lambs would be for the baby, right? To which I replied that if they were nice lambs, I would keep them, but the baby could have a few. And he rolled his eyes, which is normal for him.

After the shower I got a new hairdryer at Walmart, which is great and does everything it's supposed to do - dries the hair, dries it very fast, makes it smooth and shiny - but it's not as hot as the old one, and I kind of miss being slightly scalded in the morning. I suppose in the summer that will come in handy.

Other than breaking everything mechanical I come in contact with, today has been rather boring, with one bright spot being that I got some emails from Molly, and I got a Crate and Barrel catalogue in the mail that our receptionist didn't want, so I get to look through it and ogle the overpriced merchandise.

Off I go.

You're welcome! And congratulations!

You know, I was thinking, like "Oh, you cute little weiner!" But that totally doesn't work at all. So, yeah, I'm nuts. :-)

Yah, it was a new development posted today, and I thought as long as I was making an icon for Catherine and Tim, I'd make one for Kate and Mike. :-)

I'm glad I make you laugh! I know my posts are a little, uh, strange sometimes. Lol.
