Manic posting phase = hiatus?
I am so tired today. And, like, down. Not about anything in particular, just kinda down, and want to go home and sleep. Work is bothering me.
Yesterday I had a migraine, so I stayed home and did sleep, and read, and watched "The Curse of the Golden Flower," and then complained that there was nothing on tv, and promptly fell asleep.
Pat woke me up at one point to tell me I was making an awful lot of noise for one person. Lol.
The night before last I watched "The New World" about Pocahontas and John Smith. I cried and cried. I guess they couldn't do many love scenes, etc., because the actress was only 14, but the movie was still very moving without them. And Colin Farrell and Christian Bale? There was lots of eye candy. :-)
"The Curse of the Golden Flower" was beautiful, but ultimately? Not so good. I did not cry. (Not that this is the measure of a good movie, but in this case, there was a lot of tragedy and death, and nary a tear shed.) Gong Li is a fantastic actress. I've seen her play good and bad now, and she excelled at both.
*sigh*
Even my ebay-purchased cat-shaped, lavender-scented eye pillow that came today cannot pull me from these doldrums.
I even have a very late afternoon meeting, which means I'm going to be here late. Ugh.
Okay, time to pull myself together and get some work done.
