Kelly Clarkson celebrates the 4th of July by grabbing lunch with two of her close girlfriends (Jill Pickering & Kate Rapier) on Friday.

The 26-year-old original American Idol is currently recording her fourth studio album with many collaborators including Sam Watters, Louis Biancaniello and Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic (”Apologize”, “Stop and Stare”). Sam and Louis also wrote and produced the song “Anytime”, which appeared on Kelly’s debut album Thankful in 2003.

Hilary Duff was spotted in chic blue pumps, rolled up skinny jeans and a simple white tank on July 3rd. Hilary and her mom Susan were at the California Animal Hospital in Los Angeles. Reports have it that Hilary took one of her dogs into the vet.

Nicole Richie was spotted on a beach in Malibu, CA on Friday (July 4), the new mum of, Harlow Winter, left her daughter and boyfriend Joel Madden so she could spend a couple of hours with her friends.

Nicole is currently working on her guest role for NBC’s Chuck and sources tell People that Nicole is doing a good job.

Nicole plays Heather Chandler, who is Agent Sarah Walker (played by Yvonne Strahovski)’s high school nemesis. Sarah must go back to high school for her 10 year reunion and must face seeing Richie’s character.

A source told the magazine, “It was fantastic, She was friendly. Everybody loved her. She has a great fight scene, between takes and training for their fight scene, they were giving each other high-fives.”

Richie’s episode will air in mid-October.

"Summit Entertainment is looking to make a real splash this year with their low budget adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight. The teaser trailer for the film certainly looks low budget and I can't help but wonder if the first film exceeds the rumored $30-35 million budget if Summit will pony up a little more money for the sequel, New Moon.
Shock Til You Drop is reporting new rumors that plans to move forward with New Moon may indeed be real with plans to adapt it for release in December '09.

The site points out earlier speculation by producer Wyck Godfrey in which he said, "The goal is, we've got the [sequel] script ready to go and come December we want to shoot it for about the same time - for the weather and stuff we don't want to be in the heat of the winter. Obviously, you know the next book and know we can go out into the sun a little bit more. Hopefully, we'll have it ready to go and ready to start prepping for the beginning of next year."

"New Moon" continues the modern day love story between a vampire, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), and a human, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). Twilight is set for theaters on December 12."

A free Beach Boys concert, put on by the Hilton Casino, attracted more than 50,000 people to the beach in Atlantic City, Friday night.

The show, and the stage, took place on the beach directly in front of the Hilton Casino.

Besides founding Beach Boys member, and lead vocalist Mike Love, part-time Beach Boy and actor, John Stamos also performed tonight.

Does Denis Leary need to be rescued from Bart Simpson? The Rescue Me star will play himself in the Oct. 5 episode of The Simpsons, losing his cool at a celebrity golf event and throwing his cell phone in anger. When Bart finds the phone, he uses it to make prank calls — and even winds up accepting a role for Leary in Brian Grazer's big-screen adaptation of Everybody Poops (yes, Grazer also guests). Meanwhile, Julia Louis-Dreyfus reprises her role as Snake's girlfriend — and this time, she's pregnant! — in the Sept. 28 season opener. (Plot: Homer becomes a bounty hunter.) 

In other Simpsons business news, two billionaires — Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos — will lend their pipes to a December installment in which Mr. Burns wins a pro basketball team during a poker game. Notes Simpsons executive producer Al Jean of that episode: "It certainly has the richest cast in the history of cartoons."

HAPPY BELATED 4TH OF JULY, ONTD!

I hope everyone had a great holiday and continues to have an amazing weekend. :)

Jim Carrey and his long time love Jenny McCarthy took a stroll hand-in-hand on a Malibu beach on the Fourth of July.

The couple obviously keeps each other laughing as they had permanent smiles plastered on their faces. Jim also showed that he hasn’t lost that goofiness about him when he reappeared from the couples’ beach house dawning Jenny’s sexy one piece.

He definitely looks a bit better in the mankini than Borat, but that’s not saying much!
